Default Fuel Pump costs

Firstly I am sorry if this has been sent before but I cant find it on the forum.
so he is is again.
I have just got a bill from my garage for over £600 for 2 fuel pumps for my Rover 75T petrol estate Mileage 100464..can this be right Pump 1 £282.98 and pump 2 £363.54.

The car broken down and was towed to the garage.I have dealt with this garage for many years however this was the first time they have seen this car. I am worried now I have been ripped off or is this the sort of money to for this repair. I did not expect such a high price.

Can some one explain the fuel set up for these cars do they have twin tanks or reserve tank I dont have a workshop manual so cant find out.

I have not seen the mechanic that worked on the car so I need some advise before I see him or pay the bill.

Thanks.
