Default Eeek! Fan stuck on spindle

Any ideas on how to get the fan off the spindle? It is stuck fast, and I can't remember which way it unscrews. I've managed in the past to get one off and on without breaking the lugs!

If you're removing the fan blade then it's a matter of holding the centre nut with a socket and rotate turn the fan blade clockwise a small amount , viewed from the front of course.

Turn the fan over so you can see the nut, use a 15mm thin wall socket on the nut. Hold the fan still and turn the nut anti clockwise or the fan clockwise

Socket broke or ratchet broke ? .
It can only be corrosion between the metal spindle locators and the plastic blade or glue if 'fixed' before
