I use Armorall Protectant, but there are a variety of similar products out there. To be honest, once you've got it clean, you shouldn't need much at all.

I've found auto glym trim restorer (or its called something along those lines ) works wonders.

It's a weird, gloopy green solution, but it brings up a great shine in black plastics, doesn't appear greasy and lasts a good 3-4 weeks.

I Use it in the engine, B pillar trim, mirror surrounds & rear window edging etc.
