New 1.8K to 2.5 V6 engine swap project.
Dear All members,
Before going to the garage I would like to see your opinion, please. I'm considering to swap my 1.8K petrol engine (manual gear box) with 2.5 V6 petrol engine ( + auto gear box). (there are some reasons to keep my interior and the body and to fit "new" bigger engine). Could you let me know if is possible to do it, please? What are the minimum parts that need to be replaced, e.g exhausts ? Can you recommend some trusted garage in Kent, please? Any comments very welcome Kind regards pat

No sure but would expect problems with setting up ECU and coding, quite likely to cost less to change vehicle, also unsure how you fare with VED as vastly different to original specification and wonder how Gov't legislation will arrive at new tax band, based on year of manufacture or current policy?

Else, you'd basically have to swap everything that sits in the motor bay...
