Instrument panel fault
Hi Guys....Can you help..All of sudden my display in the middle of the instrument panel thats the small display between the rev counter and the speedo on my coni 75 T Estate the one that show the mileage range has gone blank. I am hoping its only the fuse however on looking in the manual there various fuses that I could change.
But which one ???? Also another issue and I cant remember if it goes out or not.....But when I stop the car and turn of the ignition and lock the doors I can still see the small display that show the mileage and trip recorder. The immobilizer comes on and shuts the car down... great ...but the trip recorder illumination light still stays on..This cant be right can it....Help please Thanks Bill |

The lower display (mileage etc) staying on is not uncommon and simply cured by a battery reset. Disconnect the battery negative cable for 30 minutes but if you have an OEM sat nav make sure its properly shut down first and if your radio has a code you'll need that.
Can't shed any light on the blank upper display but the battery reset above may cure it, cures a lot of weird electrical niggles. |

Hi.
Make sure you have the radio code or check it's disabled and then disconnect the battery negative for 30 mins. Hopefully this will cure the problem.

Bill, you can remove the instrument pack (IPK)easily enough to disconnect it with the battery connected to save the problem of the radio losing it's code
Two screws out of the thumbnail trim above the binnacle, and one screw securing the IPK into the dash. Once these have been removed, grasp the IPK and it should pull out towards you The two plugs can be disconnected by first depressing the clasp securing the "hinge" which is rotated through 90 degrees automatically unplugging the connector from the IPK. Leave it for five minutes, then reconnect, this should cure your issue HTH Brian |

Instrument panel Fault...Now working thanks to you guys.
Hi Guys A big thank you to all that help me...
I disconnected the battery as advised re connected and low and behold all the displays worked again including the mileage display that would not turn off. Even the radio came back on and I did even have the radio code. I was ready to go all through the fuses and pull the radio out. So I would like to be the first to wish you a Happy Christmas. You're such a great bunch ! I've got the milage counter display stuck on at the moment, took a drive in the hope that it would switch off afterwards (which it didn't do) - and thought I'd better check on the forum.
And hoppla: Tip on here as usual! I'll disconnect the battery tomorrow and leave it off for a while as advised in this thread, and I'm sure it will sort it Top stuff! Thankyou. |
