Indeed the size is 44mm, I recently replaced mine with this one and it's a perfect fit :

The genuine, OEM one was never available with its own part number, as the badge only came already fitted with the boot plinth itself. So if you'd want the genuine one, with its outer chrome rim, you'd have to buy a new plinth. This replacement one on eBay, though of excellent and probably better quality than the original one, does not have this outer chrome rim. You can see in this picture the original one, still attached, quite faded, and the ebay replacement one.
