Well observed, I have not noticed so far.
I got the car like that . Maybe it was partially repainted by the former owner as they kept it constantly in good shape.

I currently have an early Cowley V6 with Black sill's and it also has the bottom of the front and rear bumper in black. So as mentioned the lower parts of the bumpers could have bee painted,But it then begs the question why not do the sills aswell

Yeah, my point exactly. It's either all black on Cowley cars or body-coloured all around on Longbridge (and very late Cowley) ones, but not a mix of both. A very good-looking car nonetheless, OEW is a personal favorite of mine.

I know well that the Cowley cars have black sills, but I was not aware about the lower bumpers.
The car was partly repainted by the previous owner. So I guess they overlooked the lower bumper parts.
But it is less bad than painting the sills, that would raise too many questions about Cowley's origin. I will bring the bumpers back to the original state.

Thanks for your appreciation.
You're right, know I realize that the mix is a no-go.
I will have it repainted, hopefully in time for the show.

I love the colour, I bet it is a real head turner out there in the BRD

A wise choice :-)
