maybe there were some build in this configuration?

Nope, there never was. At least not officially. The change to body-coloured sills was introduced for MY2001, and the changes implemented on the production line in the summer of 2000 at Cowley.

Ok, you have convinced me.
The lower part of the bumpers will be painted again in black.

I only live here since 2 years , the autobahn is quite close.
What did you mean by _driven by a lady too_?
Interesting to know about Rover Freunde club. It might be useful if you could (in the Overseas section) let other members of events that happen in Germany.
I meant that the Rover I saw was being driven by a lady – which is unusual even in UK. No offence to anyone but I've yet to witness a Rover 75 with a lady driver, though I am aware there a are a few members on here that do.

I quite like that myself - it seems to make it look a bit longer and sleeker

Stunning car btw! I love Old English White cars.
