Angry Yodel, useless.

Today we were expecting a parcel for Mother's Day from my daughter to the wife, it was a bouquet of flowers and a plush glass vase.
It wasn't cheap at £35 all'in, well I got up at 8.30 to let the dog out, and opened the living room blinds, then went back to bed for a bit. Got up at 10.30 to find a card from Yodel shoved through the letterbox saying the parcel had been left behind the gate. I went out and there was a large box about 3 ft tall by 1 ft wide standing directly behind the gate, well my van is parked close to the gate and no way could the box have been passed through the gap. instead of knocking, the driver has just dropped or thrown the box over the gate, when the wife opened it, the vase is smashed to a thousand pieces Been on to their customer services, who logged the complaint and said to contact the supplier and tell them to follow their damage in transit procedure and my daughter will get a replacement or refund, but NO APOLOGY was offered. Awaiting a call back from their manager for " feedback". Diabolical service.

I watched one of their guys recently, after getting no answer at a neighbours door, dropped it over the back gate, then proceeded to record the delivery by taking a photo from his phone, over the gate, then the passageway he had walked down; not impressed.

When I gave them the card number, the woman said, mit hadn't been delivered, I said it has, but the driver didn't even knock. If he did it was a tap.

They really are budget carriers i wouldn't use them if I can avoid it. Their drivers are b under so much pressure they can't wait to knock and wait at the door. Some are no doubt lazy though.

One of our members works for them, I'm sure he would be horrified if he knew this was regular practise.

Daughter texted me earlier to say the supplier had given full refund. Still no apology from Yodel though.
