Hi Denis. Following your thread with interest and good luck with the outcome.
Watched your Youtube video, and also saw one on the highest reving four stroke bikes, so thanks for the heads up. If anyone else is interested, at 5.15 in a Honda hits over 20000 revs and sounds amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xqh747uTe8o |

Sorry that it hasn't worked Denis, only just got back home.
There's obviously something that it doesn't like about the configuration, just need to narrow it down there's nothing obvious. I'll have a look later today and recalculate the SA string one step at a time for the things that were added and removed then will list them and the checksums. I have no way to check the configuration here so you will have to try the different ones one step at a time until you get the invalid configuration again. That will then identify where the problem lies. Russ

Yes we just need to find out which part it doesn't like
Original SA = 228060C18309424A (H) First take off 18" wheels = 228060C08309424A (G) next no 18" wheels and add cruise = 228068C18309424A (o) now without Ultrasonic alarm = 218068C18309424A (N) now without BBus and lampwash = 218068C18308024A (A) now remove Xenons = 218048C18308024A (4) now add Parking sensors and KMB sounder = 218648C08308024A (A) which it said was the invalid configuration If you try each one in turn if it comes up with an invalid configuration then that will be where the problem lies unless there's either a marketing conflict somewhere or the LSM and KMB combination. If you can let me know what happens then we can hopefully figure it out. Unfortunately none of the calculators will tell you if it's an invalid configuration, the configuration is governed by a set of coding rules in the T4 program they are quite complex you can read them off the disc but complex to work out what is and what isn't allowed. Hi Russ,
Just reading your last post.... I have been looking in to the 'allowed configurations' for a while, however I couldn't find anything obvious in the files I had looked at in terms of rules. Is there any chance you could point me in the right direction of where I may be able to find the file that govern what can be coded. Thanks Chris

Hi Chris have had a quick look but can't find it at the moment it's well hidden and may be on another disk from the ones I've looked at but have found the following showing when the various coding changes were done and who carried them out Think you'll find it interesting

Excuse me. Couldn't go to the forum for technical reasons. I will do this method tomorrow morning and then will write what I did. On what disk I can read the encoding rules configurations? With Respect Denis |

That's ok Denis, don't worry these things happen
I can't find it at the moment, I think it's on one of the very early discs probably in the INPA folder a lot of the later discs don't include that information. The coding rules will have changed over the years as things were updated on the cars so even if I can find them on the early disc it might not help. I know the name of the tactic T4 uses for configuration but haven't found that file on the discs I've looked at I suspect it's buried in code. Russ

Hi Russ, just a thought, but shouldn't the Xenons be removed from the SA codes BEFORE removing the headlamp washers?
I mean, there can be cars with headlamp washers and no xenons, but there certainly can't be any cars with Xenons and no headlamp washers. It certainly wouldn't explain why the final SA code was rejected, but if the T4 checks the validity of the SA code you inject, from a feature perspective, then it would trigger an error at that step which would be unrelated to the one Denis got initially, and it wouldn't help identifying where that one is. Just my 2 cents
