I always say to people i meet " Allright Taff". It's regarded as a friendly gesture.
During the Miners summer holidays, just about everyone went to Porthcawl for a weeks holiday, and you would more than likely meet someone you work with, with the expression "Hya Butt". Porthcawl was known as "Hya Butt Bay"
It was so popular, that every valley had a different 2 weeks,so they could accommodate everyone.
