I've squeezed sealant around them after cleaning and by lifting the rubber seal.

Outside.---I did mine with WD 40 years ago and they haven't leaked since.---( Must be ten years now. )----I just lifted the seal a little and fired the WD 40 into the gap.

The window is bonded to the body; the big rubber seal is decorative only. The leaks tend to come through the holes where the little clips go through the bodywork... the clips are to secure the big rubber seal and chrome strip, and nothing to do with sealing per se...

Yes I've put a lot of that through the little bu66ers over the years, but eventually (for me anyway) they always start to leak again eventually. Some day maybe I'll do it all properly, or get another 5 years out of the car with luck, then go electric (oh, the shame... )


PS as part of my current life of endless telly, I watched Get Carter the other night - if I'm not mistaken, it ends up in Seaton Carew...
