I had a persistent misfire on the V8 a few years back. The main Ford dealer, after three trips in, changed a COP at vast expense, which made no difference.
They then said I needed to change all of the COP's at even greater expense had I gone ahead. I took the car home and spent a long day pulling off every single connector in the engine I could find, used a contact cleaner and air gun on everything and put it all back together. The misfire went and has never returned. Might help in your situation. So many potential poor contacts in older cars. |

My motley collection of shonky old motorcycles get regular loom refurbishment/rewiring. I did have some halfords branded green connector spray grease, but now use acf50. The advantage of a shonky old motorbike is that it fits in my shed/garage and isn't out in the pouring rain.
