Juddering juddering.
Hello fellow enthusiasts,
I don't know if this is a known, common issue or a rare one, but the Raptor has been juddering quite badly lately. Initially she just did it at the junction at the end of the street when leaving the house. She's doing it a lot more now, at traffic lights, junctions and earlier, reversing to turn round (actually that one was very loud). The judder feels like the wheels aren't gripping, like a hesitation while the wheels are spinning without purchase. Does anyone have any advice for me, or have they experienced this? As always, all advice very gratefully received. Best wishes, Dale

Havea look at the lower engine mount. I thought my engine or gearbox was going to drop out when mine went. LATES600 changed mine amongst other jobs he did, and it was like driving another car.

Yes, I'd say lower engine mount too. Not expensive, and a reasonably easy fix. Mine was completely detached (inner bush from outer case) makes heck of a difference. There's a great 'how to' as well.

Another vote for it being the lower engine mount.
As bl52krz says, fitting a new one will transform the car. My one had seen better days:-

Banana judders from time to time. Lower engine Mount was changed but she still judders from time to time. Garage said it was possibly caused by the dual mass flywheel. It is the original one along with the clutch, so I’ll wait till the clutch fails before I get it all replaced. Mileage is 210,600.
