Default Lazy and impertinent

Please excuse me - this probably is a lazy and impertinent question from a newbie - but I am slightly at a loss, having negotiated many threads on the subject of ICE, herein.

If you were going to choose an integrated double din unit with Android 11, (for Spotify and Google maps, so bluetooth,) and the possibility of interfacing with the steering wheel volume controls on your trusty 75, what would it be?

I'm not fussed with a reversing camera. Perhaps a dash cam might be a thought, though.

Advice and opinions gratefully received.

You are right there are many threads on this subject but i have an Xtrons android 10 unit and i have been very pleased with it. Pretty much plug and play apart from the 2 wires from the steering wheel controls which are fairly straightforward to fit.

As Rogue says: get an Xtrons. They are really very good (I have mine installed for two years now and never had a fuss with it). It is advised to buy from a reputable seller. And get the firmware from Xtrons UK just in case.

There really is no need for the latest Android. There will *not* be security patches and I have never seen a unit that has gotten an update to a newer version. The apps you need run equally fine on Android 8, 9 or 10 and these Android versions will be supported by these apps long after your unit is probably written off.

Just my 2 cents though

Edit: It has become a habbit of mine to show an alternative picture to the one Rogue shows. Just to give you another impression

Xtrons are the brand to go for these days.

However in terms of unit specs/firmware it doesn't really matter as pretty much everything is just a slight variation on the same few generic chinese designs.

Why would you? The "puck" can also be installed under the dash on the tube that runs from left to right (or the other way around if you prefer). The "puck" picks up the sats without problems and is up and running in seconds. At least... I had that experience with my ZT and the ZT-T is no different.
