Hi Mike.
Welcome to the mad world of MGZT and R40 ownership, do you know when the belts were last changed? do you know if the front cooling fan is working, you can do a demist test to see, lots of threads on how to do it. I wonder if the Vis motors are working another test you need to have, drop Jaime a PM he can stick it on a T4 for you and you will have a detailed health check. https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/p...=newpm&u=31100

Hi Arctic, in answer to your questions, When I road tested it initially the manifold was noisy so as part of the deal it had new belts, manifold was changed out together with a new thermostat, that was all done on the Saturday before I had the car on the Monday. all drives well, the only thing i have noticed is the Air con not blowing cold, the fan works on all speeds and when switching off the econ button I can hear the fan kick in from under the bonnet, I am hoping it just needs a Gas recharge. Oh and the boot was damp so Carpets out and all dried and the rear lights will have new gaskets on this weekend, when checking them the N/S had split in the usual place but the O/S did not have a gasket on it, Still plenty to be getting on with, Wont be the daily driver though.
