Default Rover 75 Tourer 2litre Diesel Auto- ***SOLD***

Folks, Due to the changes in working practices I am no longer driving all over the country averaging 17k per year. I have now treated myself to a newer car so its time for me to part company with my Firefrost Red Rover 75 I have owned for the last 11 years.

In all the time I have owned it it has never left me stranded and I hope that is down to the maintenance I carried out to keep it in good condition. It is still running well and on a round trip to view my new car yesterday of over 240 miles it averaged 49.5mpg. The car looks nice from a short distance but up close it is starting to show its age with a few bits of rust appearing (with the biggest bits being on the corner of the bonnet and the OSR wheelarch).

The MOT is valid to 20/12/21 and it has recently had new disk and pads on the front (under 1000 miles ago) new Avon ZX7 on the front (again under 1000 miles). The rear tyres are Michelin Crossclimate with around 3-4mm left and the spare is a full sized alloy with Michelin Crossclimate. It is a bit of a triggers broom and has had a lot of items replaced multiple times due to the high mileage (we will get to that).

Early in my ownership it has had- Marina Brians 160 remap, Jules plenum guard fitted, bonnet cable mod, gold resistor mod, top hose thermostat.

It has a detachable towbar albeit i dont know how detachable it is now as its been on for years! This has only been used for a towball mounted bike rack and was fitted when I bought the car.

Surprisingly the air-con still blows cold- god knows how as it has not been re-gassed in a long time.

It has cruise control and has the highline display that shows mpg, average speed etc in an LCD display in the centre of the instrument pod. It has front and rear mudflaps and I believe these are quite rare.

Load cover still operates and it has a plastic load liner.

It has original Rover floormats that have been protected with rubber mats over the past 11 years.

It has a hardwired dashcam fitted behind the rear-view mirror.

I have a number of spares such as EGR, inlet manifold and bits and bobs. EGR cleaned out regularly. Intake hose replaced.

I have detachable roof bars and a Haynes manual to include too.

Replaced starter motor contacts around a year ago.

Battery replaced in 2020.

2 keys.

Gearbox is still super smooth.

The interior is really fresh and clean with 99% of the time only me in the car. The steering wheel is still like new and has never been dyed.

I purchased the car at 91,000 miles with one owner and a FSH. I have changed the oil and filter at the following mileages using 5W40 fully synthetic- 99,960-110,500-121,800- 131,456- 141,400-150,583- 160,649- 170,007-180,043-189,361-199,306- 210,045- 229,530-239,930-249,595-258,702

Fuel filter replaced at 105,075- 163,231- 208,395- 249,595

Air filter- 98,000- 122,500- 163,231- 189,504-210,045-241,227

PCV valve was replaced with the BMW one at 98,000

Auto fluid- 94,771(at Dreadnought garage), 135,643- 162,500 (Rover JF03 Rimmers)

Bad bits- It will need a new NS rear arm for the next MOT as it is looking decidedly crusty. The reversing sensors dont work. Apart from that as I said earlier it still runs great. I would be confident to drive anywhere in the country.

I have receipts for all the servicing and replacement parts mentioned above and other items replaced over the years.

I have probably forgot bits and pieces so fire away with any questions.

Current mileage is 259,952

Price wise- I realise the cars not worth a great amount due to the high mileage so £400 ovno. Has half a tank of fuel.

I re-subscribed to the forum today to offer this car to the folks who would appreciate the car. I hope it goes to someone who will enjoy many more miles. Please contact me via the forum if interested.

Lastly- many Thanks to all of you people over the years who have helped out with various tips, how to's, queries. Your help has been much appreciated.
