Morning all, a good catch up with a few of the jolly boys yesterday, have a good day back at the track Jeff and Stu, you’ve chosen a good weekend for it.

Morning all from a gloriously sunny and already hot Midlands.

And it's going to get hotter.

Off to get Quizzie out into the river very soon. She had a great time yesterday when she discovered a couple of lads in the river too. . Playmates wa-hey. I think they enjoyed their shaky doggie showers

Must get the car washed very soon but much too hot at the moment. Local farmer has been making hay so it's erm.. a bit dusty .

I reckon Ian could grow something on her without too much work .

Enjoy yourselves.

That’s a good result mate, as you know, rest and plenty of fluids is the key.

Re fluids, wouldn't advise falling down water until you're a bit more settled.

Overcooked myself today. Bakingly hot but I was "advised" to sand and re-varnish some garden furniture, Given the choice I wouldn't have done it, too bleedin' hot, but I wasn't given a choice! Into a cold shower to try to cool down as soon as I'd finished but my face and arms are still glowing. Still bl00dy hot, so much so don't fancy anything to eat.

Well, that wasn't a pleasant experience! Decided to just have an omelette, cracked an egg, it was jet black and the foulest thing I've ever smelt Don't think I'll bother with dinner!

Yes you're right I'm not drinking any Henry's until I'm firing on all cylinders or is that a full charge although a couple would have been nice tonight as I'll not get much sleep in this overnight muggy heat. I hate this time of year, I love Spring & Autumn & that's it.

Its a LOT cooler here now, even had a shower of rain, saves me getting the hose out and watering the garden.

Cool

Managed to get the last of the weeding done before the hay fever kicked in.

Roast beef, baked spuds, sprouts and Yorkshire’s for dinner. Home grown strawberries for dessert.

Chilling out with a LARGE single malt.
