Default Time to go swimming ?

My fuel gauge was nearly empty this morning, so I pulled into the pertrol station & brimmed the tank... It wasnt until i drove off that i noticed the Fuel light was still on and the IPK showing 20 miles!

I'm guessing the float has probably gotten stuck & it's time to take a dip in the tank... I've never let it run this low before. Or is there something else i i should be looking at ?
