Is This Feasible?

My 54 plate has a FBH fitted, it doesn't have a dosing pump, and looks like it never has. The connector is still tucked away under the cover under the rear seat. Could the FBH be factory fitted? Or more likely bought hoping it would work on it's own?

I’d say more likely that it was installed hoping it would work on its own.

A bit like my home heating boiler.
I’d prefer it worked merrily away on its own accord, just because I had it installed.
I was lucky I had a socket on the wall to plug it into.😬
My wifey even insists on ordering fuel to make it “go”😣.

Could be the latter. Is the fuel pipe connected to the FBH? Another possibility is that the owner did not get around to fitting the dozing pump.

If the FBH is connected electrically and has attempted to start numerous times, could the PCB have locked itself so even if it is now properly connected it wont fire up?

It's all connected under the bonnet, fuel line and electrical plugs. The bracket for the dosing pump is there (rusting) but no pump. It does try to start (below 5 degrees) but obviously shuts down having no fuel supply. I've taken out the fuse for now.

See If Mickyboy has got a second hand dosing pump. Is the piping near to the plug you found?
