Looking at the link Arctic sent, Pipe-inlet manifold to heater coolant part no. PEP000130 is this doable without taking the engine out?

That has diesel in it. You could repair it if you know anyone with a TIG welder, or contact Mickyboy on here - he should be able to supply a good used one.

you can get a new one from here, if you do use a second hand one make sure it's not started to corrode in the same place as yours.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263868653649 I had two back in 2020 but sold them, well at least one from memory. 1 I also think there are two types i could be wrong. 2 3 It's a double job with the engine in place, but not easy by any means, due to the fixings at the back of the engine. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 All that above behind the engine, and this fixing at the side of the engine. 10 I have a feeling you would need to remove the metal intercooler pipe as well. 11 The photos will only show you the route i am afraid, not how to do the job with the engine in the car. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001722

Thanks for that Steve, there are 2 variants one is for the automatic according to the rimmers link you sent PEP 000130 should be the right one. This is not a job I could attempt alone, but the husband of my sisters friend is a former mechanic and he is going to come and have a look, the part on the ebay link is half the price of rimmers so if the guy is willing to help I will get the new part. I really hope it can be fixed, I don't want to give up this car it's been great to me, I think we have done the return trip to Hungary about 20 times with only a couple of issues that where sorted in Belgium.

I'm back,
Ok, sorry for the long delay continuing post, but I was ill for 2 weeks then in hospital for 2 more, then I had to wait 2 weeks for mechanic to fit me in. Anyway it wasn't the coolant pipe leaking it was a clip on the fuel line that had failed. So went in for MOT, failed, 2 broken rear springs amongst other things, but passed now and I am back on the road and job by job I am sorting the many advisories. Replaced the front tyres although they where not on the advisory even after being flat for 2 years and being Avon's with cracked sidewalls and were on the advisory more than 2 years ago. Today I had planned to change the oil and all the filters but the cheap oil pump I bought didn't work so only got round to the fuel, pcv, and pollen filters. So thanks again Steve for your trouble posting help and all your pictures. Dave.
