My long awaited dust covers arrived today after their epic journey from China. Apparently they got delayed in customs, I reckon they must have thought it suspicious that Rover parts were coming into the country

Here's a shot of the new ones alongside the old rusty ones.

In answer to your pm David I will not be powder coating them but I reckon when time becomes available I will strip them to bare metal then give them a few coats of primer before another few coats of gloss.

With this awful weather we are having recently I really don't know when that will be but I will post it into my suspension topic.

Many thanks again to all concerned in aquiring these parts from China.

Default Backplates

B... good effort. What beats my brain though is why could Xpart not have put them into stock as 'easily' ! Could understand if it was an accessory or non essential etc.....but it's not.

Thanks , Glad it worked out. I think the customs delays had to do with the Olympics security and Paralympics security. They sat in UK customs for Almost 3 weeks ! I had a few other shipments that had similar issues but things seem back to normal now.

Due to the forum restore from backup, I've lost PM's. Can the guys who were in contact regarding shipping your plates please PM me again.

I've restored post 1 to the status so far, but a couple of the recent requests are lost, so can you please send the request again.

Airedale & A-Rover, yours were both shipped this week.

Shadowfax, due to one member reducing his order size one set is now available for you if you get in touch with details, Trophy blue tourer, I've lost any PM's you sent me although I remember you did send one.

There were 2 other members who requested parts, but I've lost trace of who they were, so please post again and you will be on the waiting list for the next shipment from china if we get up to another 10 sets.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Rich,

OK you're back on the list, thanks for getting back to me. I'd put too much faith in the technology of the cloud, but I've written down a separate list now.

What will happen with the list now (Which is in Post number 1 of this thread) is that when it reaches 10 requests, I will contact Sean(Radioguy) again, and then we will decide the purchase route. Obviously he is a professional trader, whereas I am just someone with rusty plates, so he is considering to take the parts in to his portfolio of offerings. If the requests come in quickly then he might look on the opportunity favourably.
