To spare my gb's on the mobile internet, i put my modem on the dashboard of the car with a long electric cable and a very long utp cable for my wifi modem.

For the fun, i measure the internet speed with ookla speed test, and got an astonishing 60.34Mbps, needless to say that my apps where updated in a blink of an eye ^^

I also downloaded google maps offline and the country's like Belgium, Netherland, France, luxembourg and Germany, in 7 minutes the 5gb where downloaded, after that i did a test drive and it works realy great.

I also downloaded Waze, now the mobile connection works i don't have to be afraid that i get lost with 3 working gps apps

A question for Cool Cat and Radioguy, would a wifi amplifier be intresting for the weak wifi signal reception on the Navall 3 for a better reception? If so can you provide such wifi amplifier?
If your talking about boosting the signal of your own wifi, then yes. I have a netgear wifi extender so I can get signal in my garage and my car. They are only 30 meters max from the router but my walls are almost 2 ft thick so needed the booster to lend a helping hand ☺

Strangely, since my navall3 reset the wall paper by itself I havent had to do a factory reset for almost 2 months now. Everything has been working fine so I'll be leaving it alone (which means now I've said that it'll most probably self detruct now! )

Angry Cd player

Hi all,
On the Navall 3 when you play a cd is it possible for it to display album art and track info as on a pc?
Cheers
Paul

Jeff can the upgraded DAB aerial go on the rear screen?
Still struggling a bit with my radio reception, the DD units aren't doing as well as my factory symphony unit

Hi Paul,

Not sure about CD's but certainly music stored on SD or USB can display album art.

Yes the external glass mount DAB aerial can go on the rear screen, its angle is adjustable

Your Symphony unit used a duel diversity aerial system which is why they are good. Other head units (such as double dins) only have the one aerial input so won't work as well unless you upgrade the aerial.
Having said that I have found the Navall3 not bad at all in my car for reception

Cheers Jeff, seems that I'll need to upgrade to one of those aerials and a dongle maybe.
