Default 1970s Fluke 8600a multimeter

Hi ,
Long shot here, but it's worth a try.
When clearing my parents home I came across my dad's old Fluke 8600a multimeter.
I remember him buying this when he worked for a company called British Relay, and was used a great deal (was very expensive back then).
Anyway, it's missing the kettle type power lead, and I have no idea what is suitable.
I only want to see if it still works, as its in surprisingly good condition.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Paul

There is a manual for it here...

https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...kuvrYA&cad=rja

Usual, is what is commonly called a 'kettle plug', but the proper name is IEC lead.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Default It's alive!

Bought a new power lead, and the thing still works!
Probably a tad out of calibration, but that's amazing when it's approx 41 years old.
Thanks

I have a mass of old, but top spec. test equipment. Having once been caught out, I like things to be accurate and to be able to prove it, so many years ago I built myself a series of calibration references. Frequency references, voltage references, current, capacitance and resistance references.

My frequency reference, which I designed and developed myself, no longer works - it used to use the BBC analogue TV service as its reference source.

I found my older equipment to be much more accurate, than my more modern stuff.
