Default T140e

Hi,
I am in the process of restoring my (Late) dads 1979 T140E , which he owned
from new.
Its only done 8k miles, but due to poor storage, and lack of use, it was in a bad way. The tax disc is from 1994!.
Still a long way to go, and I am trying to keep as many original parts as poss,
which isnt easy.
Most of the braking system has had to be changed (both master cylinders were
shot) , new tyres, new headlight case ,carbs rebuilt etc, etc.
It runs (not well yet), maybe by the new year it will be on the road.
Here is a picture after a fews hours (and a big tin of Solvol Autosol ) of work.

That's starting to look good already. Will be interesting to see the finished job. Good luck with it. A collectable bike that one.---

When I picked up a Norton Commando a few years ago one of the best things I did was get a polishing kit, three different grade mops that fit into a drill and two soaps, course and fine. It was similar to this, could get a mirror finish on the engine casings.

I passed my test in June this year and have a kawasaki zzr600
My dad has the kawasaki zzr1100 both great bikes love them to bits.
I'm 30 so am bringing the average age down a bit.

I’ve never been keen on bikes but my eldest is daft on them.
He currently has a Fireblade in full Repsol livery and it’s like new. He’s got an older Yamaha thing plus a couple of trail bikes.

Tomorrow I’m accompanying him down to Wigan to purchase a six month old R1 so he’s going to sell his Blade or he tells me.
