From October this year, Kenya Airways are flying direct Nairobi to JFK in 15 hours. Quite a significant improvement

Air New Zealand is improving long haul economy with fold out beds

Something the British airlines are not yet doing

Couldn't do it/wouldn't want to do it, I find flying boring. The longest I've done is about 12 and I found that too long. I'd be climbing the walls at that long or end up on the G&Ts

The luxury set up never lasts too long; I recall the upper deck of the 747's being themed bars, the best I ever saw was the Iran Air which had a vast samovar in the centre of low benches.

I had a look through an Emirates A380 when I travelled with them two years ago, and they have showers and a jacuzzi on the upper deck. Just wait until they realize how many seats they can get in there.

A few guys at work had a tour of them when they were working in Dubai. Said they were amazing inside.

787 inlets are a fair size I've a comparison picture between that and a v2500 inlet from the open day at work last year.
As much as there big there tight when crawling around inside them.

It's a long flight not sure I'd fancy it though.

Many years ago we did that trip, going from Singapore to Brisbane for the second leg with Qantas. I'd never crossed the equator before but knew we'd be doing so very early in the flight, so I asked one of the attendants how soon after take-off that would happen.

His reply - "Ah, don't worry mate. You'll feel the bump."

On a trip back from Egypt the women in front of me had a small child, it was crying and wailing so much the Trolley Dolly asked if she could help as it was annoying a lot of passengers, her answer was '' nothing will silence it, it always does that all the time when we fly and last month it did it for 8 hours all the way too and from Canada''

When we were getting off the aircraft people were asking her why she did it if the child cried, she just shrugged her shoulders and said you can always get out and walk if you don't like it.

What a B1TCH.

Can you imagine being stuck with her for 17 hours?

I’ve never done a long haul flight, 4.5 hours is the longest journey I’ve done, even then I’m ready to get out of the plane!
