Lol

Are they quite heavy, as the weight is actually an important feature.

lol very funny with the jokes but can we not spam this thread as it's for those who'd like to order

I will now be taking orders for these LED illuminated gear knobs. There's been a huge amount of interest in these on my facebook page, far more than I expected. As so many are interested, I will be arranging this as a group buy and having them made to order. I will be calling the cut off deadline for ordering the end of this month 31st May. The complete group buy will then be sent in for manufacturing and then will be ready to post to everyone in 2-4 weeks after (depending on how many I have to get made).

If you’d like to order I will require the following via PM:

1. What model car you’d like to order the gear knob for.

2. The length and diameter of the gear shaft in order to provide the correct fitment size (see pic below for measurements required). A photo of your gear shaft would also be useful so see what style fitting you have. The new gear knob is fitted using the 3 small allen key thread bolts so can fit to all types of gear shafts.

3. The dial face design you’d like on the gear knob (see photo below for the two design options available, although other designs may be possible)

4. The LED colour you’d like (available in blue, red, green, amber or white)

5. If you’d like standard leather or perforated leather.

6. I will need your shipping address.

7. I will need your email address for updates on your order.

The LED illuminated gear knobs are £35 including postage in the UK. If you’d like it sent outside of the UK let me know and I can provide a postage quote.

I will then reply with payment details to complete your order

Many thanks
Rick

Hi Rick,

How do you get the gear knob off to check the size?

Yes as Cliff said it just pulls off. Just be careful not to catch yourself in the face

So, the gear knob came off . . . . . the insert.

Insert stuck to the gear stick. D'oh.

As an aside, can anyone advise how the gaiter is retained up against the gear knob please?

Can you post a picture of an amber one (ideally the mg version)?

ooh dear!

Mine from memory mine was just held up by the white plastic ring in this pic below.

To fit the gaiter to the gear knob I just turned it inside out and table tied it to the groove around the bottom of the new gear knob (where the allen key screws are). Below is a pic of the groove where I cable tied the gaiter.

I'll be taking some more detailed pics of how I fit mine to be sent to everyone who orders so they'll have some fitting instructions, along with where to connect the 2 wires for the LED.

This is how the amber one looks. Hard to capture the colour on my phone, but the shade of amber is the same as the factory amber LEDs used in the 75 and ZT
