Battery for 75 tourer cdt

I need to buy a battery for my tourer diesel can anybody recommend a good tried and tested battery thanks in advance

Absolutely yes to Tayna.

I like Varta with their 5 year warranty.

I got it slightly wrong when I ordered an E38 (74Ah 750A) instead of the slightly better spec E44 (77Ah 780A) for a bit less money.

It doesn't matter which brand you choose, if it's not looked after it will fail.

Car batteries need to be kept as near to fully charged as is possible, all the time. Repeated short journeys, long periods of inactivity and allowing it to run flat all shorten a battery's life. So if that sounds familiar, invest in a smart maintenance charger, use it habitually and you'll have reliability.

Varta is my choice. I have one in my diesel R75.

Whichever one you go far, make sure you get the one with the highest CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) you can afford. The higher it is the better starting you will get in cold temperatures

Another vote for Tayna. From cheap and cheerful to get me out the muck to top of the range, I've used them many times and always been happy.

I bought a Bosch for the tourer last year. It was pretty expensive, but since the car was just sitting outside with no trickle charger and very little use, I thought I'd invest. Its been fantastic. I'm now working my way through thextest of the fleet.

I'm also stuck with a '71 Triumph Spitfire, a '90 Jag XJS Convertible from Japan, '06 Mini Convertible which is my wife's and a '90 Toyota Hilux Pickup with 38" wheels and a 10 1/2" lift.
