Starline drop links
As I didn’t have any choice, I had to buy a pair of Starline drop links from Euro car parts.
As usual I like to check the grease content prior to fitting, not much was added at the factory, also there are no flats under the thread on the top joint, this makes nipping the nut up difficult. Trikey’s advice... avoid unless you don’t have a choice! Extra grease has been added and the upper threads shortened as I don’t expect these to last very long.

I wish we were in a position to return parts to the manufacturer with a kind note explaining how utterly useless their components are. Unfortunately as Andy has said, we end up stuck with this junk as we need the car back on the road

this has always been the problem with the wishbones as well. how do you wait for a refund after removing /packaging up/sending off at post office /writing a letter/filling in forms / waiting for a decision from whoever and then waiting for a refund or replacement part whilst your cars off the road ? and then you have got to fit it ... the only thing you can do is keep spares on the shelf .. if you can afford it ...

Hi Andy.
I bought a pair of these below to see how long they will last, the same as you added extra grease, also painted them just for the fun of it. 1 2 3 4 Also cut off 5mm of the thread, to help with tightening with the ground down spanners. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174003579855

Looks good in red Steve I am trying various makes of drop link to see how they fair, I always open them up and add grease just to give them all the best chance.
