Default MG7 Lights

Picked up a spare set of MG7 lights, only thing is that after a clean they look better than the ones I have on the car . So next year after the ZT comes out of hibernation and the covers come off it, first job is to swap the lights over, and give my other set a good polish and keep as spares.

Hi Jon.
Nice find, will you be getting new gaskets for them, or use your old ones, also remember leave the hand brake off the car while it's in hiding

Check that the 'tail' light isn't too bright. The early ones at least were far too bright and made it difficult for a following driver. There was no difference beweeen the tail and the brake light intensity making it even worse. As I recall, I think there was a revamp of the LED ring to reduce the brightness. I had to put some dark red filters in mine. Nothing else worked. Also worth checking the quality of the wiring. The genuine MG7s had a metal bus to all the bulbholders (like your standard lamps), but the copies most of us got use wires and self tappers. Caveat emptor.

That explains a lot - I was sat on the M42 (in traffic, of course!) behind a rather nice ZT with a set of these.
The intensity of the tail lights was absolutely ridiculous, to the point I switched lanes to sit behind a generic Eurobox instead!
