Default Emirates Airline adverts

Emirates Airline, I have not seen them on TV but on YouTube, they really are a cut above the rest. I dont think it is just the stunning women that makes them better but perhaps the involvement in the "sport" that makes them better.

I have not flown Emirates, but when I flew Qatar Airlines Doha to London on the A380, I was given a free upgrade. British Airways - they removed my air miles after I could not fly with them during the lockdown and when I tried to give the air miles away, I couldn’t get into their system, BA have gone down in my opinion.

Family members recently flew out on Emirates to Dubai for a family wedding in Abu Dhabi. The happy couple are on their honeymoon in Oman. We had booked on Etihad Airlines direct to Abu Dhabi, but had to cancel because of Covid, we have been promised a refund.

The Emirates advert - are you planning on flying with them?

I spent 11 years in Saudi Arabia. There were still public executions in the eighties and nineties. Human rights were pretty much non-existent then. Expat Philipino and Indian sub continent workers were treated very poorly. One month holiday every three years was common for some. I knew of one Indian guy who told me he was very happy because his first three year holiday was the next week. Went into the store two weeks later and he was still there and rather glum. Short version, his employer had told him he would have to wait another year to see his family since he had no money and couldn't afford the air fare for his holiday. Loads of stories of unilateral pay cuts and changes in the promised working conditions. And they were the lucky ones. Things are improving in the Middle East, but they are miles behind Europe regarding basic human rights for sure.
