The one bike I regret selling was the CB550K3. Picked up for next to nothing, did a lot of work on it including an engine rebuild and new camchain. Took it for a MOT after the rebuild and the boss of the local bike shop commented that he'd forgotten they could run so quietly.

For the 1st time since I was 17 I've only got one bike now. Earlier this year I sold my Buell XB12R, I loved it, it was quick and handled brilliantly, but, having not been built since around 2009, parts were now hard and expensive to get, and some simply not available at all. For example, a front engine mount was NLA, if you could find new old stock they'd go for anything from £200+. I decided that even though I'd always said I'd never get rid of it, I don't ride enough to justify having 2 bikes, and it would be mad to get rid of the Enfield which is cheap and easy to get parts for, and cheap to run, and is perfectly suited to my type of riding, just to keep a bike that I had grown sentimentally attached to.

So I now only have my Royal Enfield GT535, ridden gently it gives me 85+ mpg, and even if you decide to really abuse it, it still does 65mpg. Ok absolutely flat out, down a hill with the wind behind you, it'll just touch 90mph, but on the small unmarked roads I find myself exploring these days, a steady 50-60mph is plenty.
People at work have nicknamed it 'the Heartbeat bike'...

*Edited to add* The other plus sides for the Enfield are: A. tax is cheaper than the bigger bikes, being only a 535cc, it's around £70 instead of £100 B. insurance is only £80 a year
