Default AirBag ECU for 2001 v6 saloon

Trying to resolve an airbag warning and I've checked both seats and reconnected the blue and yellow connectors after giving them a clean with contact cleaner but still so no resolve.

Also checked and cleaned the steering wheel airbag but the damn light will not go out. last time I had this I had to replace the ECU under the centre console.

Stubs; having had a fault of this nature myself and making the mistake of buying a replacement DCU (yes, that's what it's called, a Diagnostic Control Unit!), I'd recommend that a session with a competent T4 operator will not be money wasted.

Unfortunately car is awaiting MOT so no way of driving to a T4 guru. I ran an obd2 scan on it and it stated no fault. So no error code.

That's a problem isn't it as it's not going to pass with the airbag light on.

Generic diagnostic equipment is often unreliable for SRS systems. There obviously is a fault and you need T4 to come to you to talk to the DCU.

I think the ecu needs to come from a similar car so I need one for a 2.5V6 Auto Saloon with standard drivers, passenger and seat airbags.

The last time I fitted to a V6 the code was WYC 107090

If you do go down the route of replacing the ECU do not connect it without first attaching the earth or it'll become a paperweight!
