The rain is so heavy here the girls won't go out for their morning pee! Just standing at the door "I'm not going out in that!"

Haven't been to Dobbies for years. Used to go there when we had tropical fish, they had a large pet section. Never forget one assistant saying Dobbies was so expensive he wouldn't buy stuff there even with his staff discount!

Morning all,

Late to parade as been getting shirt ironed, shoes polished etc. Funeral to attend today.

It is for my best friends Mum who passed away a few weeks ago.
She was very well known music teacher in Clacton and the funeral will have a lot of her past pupils performing as a celebration of her life.

There is likely to be a large attendance at the service and the wake being held afterwards.

Catch up with you all later.

Which one of the cats took the photo, they're very good.

Hate funerals, few years ago after my parents passed away a number of aunts and uncles passed in quick succession. I reached the point where I couldn't go to another funeral, had to miss my uncle Gerald's one.

Boy has it gone muggy just now & thunderstorms forecast for later this afternoon.
Just been to ASDA for some essentials & unloading the car my t-shirt is wet through with sweat.

Looking good Jeff.

Found humungous substantial black bags in Lidl of all places. I was in for some odds and sods when I spotted them, they're 100cm high x 70cm wide, wide enough and split down the sides more than long enough. If it hadn't just started wishing down again I'd batter into it this afternoon.

Your t-shirt would be wet through here as well . . . . not with sweat though.

LOL It's one of those rare occasions where if I owned a pair of shorts I'd put them on I've just cracked open a bottle of Chaplin & Corks vintage Somerset cider & by heck it's proper good.

Just making some Spag-Bol sauce & spaghetti for tea

Cool

Took me sometime to get going today. So after it stopped rain I went out into the garden, and although we have had over 12 hours of steady rain the ground is incredibly dry. The back garden is like a dust bowl.

Dug out loads of weeds out of the front garden.

Got home cooked gammon with spuds and beans for dinner. Bought some Henry’s at the weekend so might finish them off later.
