best place to get a v6 oil cooler
Mine appears to be leaking and this might also explain some of the moisture I am picking up in my oil trap tank.
Suggestions? Ideally would like a new one but good SH is fine |

How do you know the oil cooler is at fault?
Check coolant connections to it. |

as I have been finding more moisture than I expected in my catch tank I am perhaps being premature in thinking it could be at fault but I wanted to get some ideas on where to get one if I can prove to myself its duff That in itself could be a challenge But given the Rimmers pricing thought I would explore D |

I guess if I suspect this is it I could bypass the coolant section of the oil cooler by direct connecting the two water pipes and see if the condensation goes away?

You can put a later one on but you'll have to change the sump pan.
I ran mine for 2 weeks with the coolant pipes disconnected and it was indeed the oil cooler leaking. |

Correct diagnosis?

If coolant and engine oil were mixing in your cooler you would have mayonnaise everywhere and be claiming that a head gasket had gone. I have to ask whether you are doing mainly short journeys at the moment. I wonder whether it's condensation in the crankcase breather system which you are seeing. I think your first move should be to remove both cam covers and clean out the breather pinhole restrictions, and the wire mesh filters. What you've described doesn't sound like the oil cooler at all. There must be some blockage in the crankcase breather system. The OP has complained about this moisture for a while now..
