Fuming - One problem fixed, another caused!
Had my windscreen replaced today due to a roof tile falling off and scuffing it just before Christmas.
In doing so, the fitter has broken the scuttle panel. He was all ready for handing the keys back and NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-ing off until i inspected his work and refused to sign his job sheet! He had the cheek to say it was fine, he'd glued it back together! Spoke to his office and they have agreed to replace it, but struggling to find one as Rimmers & xPart are saying NLA. Anyone know where I can get a new scuttle panel? Edit: First time i've ever encountered the naughty word filter - but i felt it was deserved after this ordeal! |

If you want it done sharpish, might be best to look at a good second hand one.

These people have them for forty odd quid
http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/mg-...scuttle-panel/ I have used them before for parts and have found them to be good.

I assume scuttle panel = the same as plenum panel?
If so here you go http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROVER-75-MGZ...sAAOSwGvhUGdP0 |

You wouldn't want one of the new ones they're a lot thinner, are poor quality and don't fit as well as the original.
I'd try and find a good used one I've fitted the new ones to customers cars and I certainly wouldn't fit one to mine Russ

They've just phoned and no surprise said they can't find one, but they will be open to using a second hand part if needed. Last edited by Dragrad; 19th January 2017 at 00:09.. Reason: Consecutive posts, please use the edit or multi-quote options ;-) |
