Bikers
Any motorcyclist out there?
What do you ride? Do you get out much? I've got a '92 Enfield 500 Bullet and a '02 Harley FXD Dyna Superglide. I do a few rallies every year and enjoy keeping them in good fettle. There's nothing like the sense of freedom you get from slinging on the saddlebags and riding off for another adventure. Too many John Wayne movies in my youth |

I have a Kawasaki Z1300 DFI with only 12000K on the clock. It weighs in at three quarter's of a ton, which is now a little too heavy for me so I've SORN'D it for the time being. Last year I bought myself a cheap imported Yamaha Virago xv 250, brilliant bike, very nippy and comfortable. I try to get out on it has much as I can here in the Brecon Beacon's .

You are a lucky fellow Steve. I lived in Mid Wales for 8 years and that is some of the finest riding country in Britain.

Suzuki GS850L from 1980. Also known as 'that one with the seat.'
An American import that I bought a couple of years ago as a bit of a wreck and now looking good and used all year.

I've had bikes since I was old enough to ride, so about 12 years now. Been through a few now, but the 1 that's stuck with me for the last 9 years now is my Buell XB12R. Don't ride it much now, don't get the time with 3 kids. But I always used to love strapping a tent to the back of 1 of the bikes, few clothes and sleeping bag in the saddle bags and off for a weekend, various rallies and things.
Also got a VW trike, an ongoing project, taking far longer than I first thought it would. My dad bought a new army green Royal Enfield a couple of years ago, I took it out for a little ride 1 evening, he followed me on his Harley, ended up having to fill the tank for him, it was great fun, at every junction we came to, instead of turning to go home, I went the other way and kept going. Very impressed with it, came home and started looking at getting a Continental GT. Used to live in Bristol, and spent many hours riding round Monmouth and the Wye valley, best biking roads I've found. |

I ran bikes for about 20 years, everything from a Honda C90 to a 1500 Goldwing, before getting round to a car. I got myself a bike again a few years ago but didn't really take to it 2nd time round, maybe I'd got too used to being warm and dry!
