Default MG Rover Ltd - Company name for Sale.

https://mathewsons.co.uk/auctions/au...d-company-name

Interesting, I wonder if the current MG company will bid?

That would be quite something.
Just need to check if there are any legally binding nightmares attached to the purchase.

I find this very interesting.

The company information from Companies House shows it was incorporated on 17th February 2021, I wonder why.

Interestingly, while I was bored last year I was looking up some company names related to MG Rover and noticed there were a couple still submitting paperwork and accounts etc, which I presumed was still something to do with the administration of the company or pensions.

Phoenix Venture Holdings Limited was dissolved only on 22nd September 2020.

Presumably, if SAIC MG bought this, it wouldn't give them the right to use the 'Rover' brand on anything since I understand that is still owned by Jaguar Land Rover, who in turn are owned by Tata?

I think we as a club should buy it...

Lets hope we get a nice surprise who buys it. I can tell you it won’t be me.

BIDDERS ARE ADVISED TO MAKE THEIR OWN ENQUIRIES WITH COMPANIES HOUSE PRIOR TO BIDDING , that sounds ominous

I really don’t think it’s worth anything seller clearly thinks it’s worth something though, but it’s only a name and you probably won’t be able to do anything with it.
