Default People Talking To Themselves

When I was a youngster if you heard someone talking to themselves on the street, you assumed they were out of the "asylum". Nowadays you assume that any are on their phone, oblivious to the outside world or their generosity in sharing their personal conversation.
Today, a further "taking a knee" towards those that feel a need to be in touch wherever they might be, an announcement that the ability to use mobile phones on trains/underground is intended to be available everywhere in the future.

Oh for the chance to have a quiet journey without having to listen to the prattle of others.

And you know if it’s a long distance call because they are talking very loudly into their phone!

Cool

I talk to myself a lot, always in need of expert advice or even a second opinion. I usually end up having an argument with myself in which I rarely win.

"Excuse me while I interrupt myself" as the late great Murray Walker put it.

My father used to say it was the first sign of madness.

Do you know what the second sign of madness is?

Telling people that talking to yourself is the first sign of it?
