Job done - many thanks to Reebs for both the How To and for sourcing the visors for me. Took a little longer than an hour but found a few other issues to correct along the way.
All I need to do now is convert them to nice white LED's.............if I could work out how to get them apart

Big thanks to Reebs for this 'How to' - I finally got around to fitting my visors yesterday, and without this I would have been stuck. One observation that may be helpful is that I did'nt need to remove the lower side trim to access the cable on the passenger side. I dropped the fuse box cover and was able to get the cable by reaching over the top of the trim and gently pulling the wires up and out.

If you look at the wires going into the obd socket (Diagnostic socket) you will see the same coloured wires as the visor wires (purple / gray wire & a black wire) both the black wires on the obd socket are earths & the purple with gray is permanent live, I used scotch clips to connect the extended wires from the visor here & all is working as it should. Hope this helps. Last edited by stevie7; 31st March 2012 at 17:24.. |
