Hi Tst,

The infra red tends to be for the Mg's with Kenwood radios installed.
The hard wired controls are fitted to most Rover 75's and some Zeds with Rover type radios.
Not always the case though!!
Hope that may help as well Sean.

Also Mr Edd made a very good guide to installing these radios. This is the link:

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Default Installation

Hi,
Im new to the site and have been directed here whilst trying to get a dd for my recently aquired Rover. Im looking at buying one of Radio guys units but have no idea how to install one of them. Im strictly a start the car up, turn on the music and drive person. I was wondering if anyone could advise me if you can have these installed at a local shop and if anyone has had installed by a shop how much it cost. Alternatively if there is anyone in the Chelmsford area that is willing to install it for me id happily pay them. Many Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to our club, you'll find loads of help on here to keep your car on the straight and narrow

Sean (radioguys) units are a great way to upgrade your car and come recommended.

If you need any help installing it when you get one I'm just up the A12 in sunny Clacton and would have no problems helping you get it installed.

Keep me posted if you get one and give us a shout when your ready, or if you want to come and take a look at one first just let me know.
