Default satnav 7 digit postcode ! [ALL SORTED.THANKS JIM]

Hi all, bit of a strange one, i'm running all bmw up-grade hardware on my hi-line set-up, even a 2013 map disc which says "full 7 digit postcode", but will only ever allow me to enter a max of 5 , have I got a duff disc or am I just missing something here? any feedback most wellcome chaps . . thankyou . . .

Mine is the same only allow 5 digits,so you still have to enter name of road etc.

I used to get that with my BMW, there is a workaround and if I remember correctly you ask for information on the area your going to and it give a list of the 7 digit post codes. Problem was though they weren't in any specific order you'd to scroll through loads and pick the one yiu wanted, an easy task with the I drive control knob but I would fancy doing it on a touch screen. Hope this is of some help

On the BMW mk4 navigation software the Royal Mail 7 figure postcode database is in the gazetteer. I can't remember where though as it's well over a year since I had a similar set-up.
