Cleaning Velour Seats
I have some green heated velour seats that dont appear to be that green anymore, any advice welcome on best way to clean them up. I was thinking of steam cleaning them with wall paper stripper, but Im not that clued up on valeting and want to know the best way without causing damage.

Thanks for the link, good job I read it before attacking with steam cleaner. Looks like mild soapy water is in order.

Rug Doctor machine. Hire it from Home-Base and ask for the upholstery tool. One bottle of shampoo and anti-foam will last at least 3 washes... I do Alison once a year. You would not believe the colour of the water after just cleaning the seats first.

We hired one of these to do the last house before we moved out. They are amazing, the carpets didn't look dirty but the stuff this machine sucked up was like dirty river water I also used the upholstery tool to do the seats in my van Plus I've still got 2 litres of cleaning solution left as well

Extractors are good, as are foaming cleaners or using a brush and a solution of warm water and washing powder as linked. Beware of saturation when using any of these, could become a real pain!
