Where is the coolant temp sensor located?

"Understeer" is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. "Oversteer" is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. "Horsepower" is how fast you hit the wall. "Torque" is how far you take the wall with you. |

on the front of the block where the 90 bend water pipe goes in to the T peice its next to where that pipe connects to the block(front right)

Nice car and having read the whole thread its nice to see someone tackling all the problems head on! Exactly what this forum is all about
I'm very much enjoying my 1.8T too I've had similar issues to you, although no HGF yet thank God!! Averaging 28.8mpg in mine (no IPK in mine so worked out the old fashioned way) although I'm hoping to get low 30s now I've fixed a few bits and bobs. Keep the updates coming.
