The knocking didnt go away entirely. I then needed droplinks then bottom rear bushes. Now the car is sorted at the frontn no more knocking.

I changed the droplinks on mine but the knock is still there. Strut top bearing is the next candidate. I hadn't thought of the bottom rear bushes - have you got a part number?

Ok, thanks Glenn. I think I'll change those before doing the strut top bearings.

Btw, have you seen the polyurethane bushes? They're said to eliminate funny noises (knocks presumably) and can be re-greased in situ. See Arctic's pics in post 7 - http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=183564
