Angry Nightmare...

Those beastly shipping delays are becoming freaky!

My prestige alloys were duly shipped last Monday: nothing so far!
I posted my instrument panel last Tuesday: nothing so far!

More & more often the shipping is lasting 7,8 or 10 days from France (or anywhere else in Europe, it may make no difference) to the UK or the other way round.
It's unbearable!
Imagine that I was told 3 days shipping for my IP!
And same story for my alloys!
What a swindle!

And fundamentally it's not a question of time but when you're given a time limit and nothing happens, you may imagine anything...

And not only: I'm out next Tuesday... I bet that increases my chances to be delivered that very day!
At last I desperately need my 75 on Sunday 1st of July: I bet too that the IP will not be back!

Are those carriers using donkeys to save our planet or simulating Brexit in the years to come?

Nightmare...

My dark wood/plastic and sandstone vinyl gearknob arrived from Malaysia/Hong Kong today. £4.95 total. Took 5 weeks instead of the 6 quoted. Just got to work out how to get the old one off!

Unhappy

I agree: when I order for a Chinese item, the shipping usually lasts 4 weeks or thereabouts, but generally it's free postage. Could we complain, couldn't we?

But when the journey is only crossing the Channel, I reckon the shipping is utterly overpriced mainly because it's lasting soooo long !

I would accept either to pay little money for a long wait or the price I'm actually paying for a fast delivery but not both drawbacks together mainly when I'm told it should be faster than it is effectively...

Hopefully my feedback will help members sending items to France.

Good:
DPD (cheap, usually under a week)
DHL (expensive but very quick)
UPS (expensive but very quick)
FedEx (very expensive, but overnight in most cases)
ParcelForce / GLS (well priced and relatively quick, 3-5 days)
TNT (expensive but very quick)
Basically all of the large name couriers seem to be pretty good for Europe in general.

Bad:
UK Mail (took 3 weeks last time!)
Royal Mail (unpredictable - anywhere between a week and 6 weeks)
MyHermes (excellent with the UK at the moment, but deliveries to France were taking 3 weeks plus)
Landmark Global (uses Hermes and a local French courier, up to 4 weeks)

Just my 2p and my experience. We'll always try and use a customer's requested courier for International deliveries, although for cost reasons this isn't always practical.
