Default After the 2 day "cleanerthon"

I have had two days going over the car...I will put the details of what I did and products up in the valeting section, as I am certainly becoming a "bit of an anorak" when it comes to cleaning materials..........

Well....here she is.........

I think if you double click on the photo you get a bigger photo.

Default Two day "cleanerthon"

After all the reading, researching and spending of hard earned cash.... I was ready for the big clean...........

If this starts getting boring then please feel free to switch off or, look just a little glazed.......

I started with the wheels......they were the most dirty.....
Good soak with Meguirs alloy cleaner
Washed off
Then a second round of spray with cleaning with tyre washing mitt.....
Good rinse and then (later) when dry...A/g wheel sealant.

Then onto the car....

Good rinse and then sound washinig with two bucket method and A/g shampoo, getting into all those nooks and crannies.

Followed by claying (b/hammer) , with Dodo extra lube and then yet another wash.

Gave the glass a quick clean with megs glass cleaner...I was always sceptical of glass cleaners but....not anymore.

Then polished the car with A/g Super Resin...

Last job of the first day was waxing...
I have found a great wax...."Harley Wax".
It went on so smoothly and well......just like butter.
The car was starting to look amazing.....

The second day started with the second coat of wax and then onto the engine.
The engine wasn't too dirty so....a mixture of baby wipes and damp clothes saw it clean.
I spent some time polishing the aluminimum tubes (think they are the air con tubes)...came up lovely....
Then a very liberal spraying of Aerospace 303 all over....Close the bonnet for 4 hours and then see the result......wonderful.

Then the secret weapon..."Black wow"...
Very expensive but, it does go a very long way....just spectacular results on plastic...

Finally inside...... An overdue hoover, followed by Black Wow and dash cleaner.....

Along with the other little bits and pieces .....a perfect weekend...

Just need to work at all those chips and little scracthes......Guess thats for the Summer...

If you think Black Wow is good try Gtechniq C4 trim..........

I applied it to my Ztt in October and have not had to apply any since , a wash and it comes up as good as day 1.My bottle of Black Wow has sat in the garage ever since.

Becs

The car looks real tidy but the utility room looks a mess, needs couple of days spent on it!

The utility room is henceforth know as the "Rover Room"...
All the cleaning stuff and bits and pieces are there.......
Last night there were about 10 MF cloths, 3 sheepskin mitts and two sponge applicators drying on the rails.....
The car is slowly taking over.......
