Sat one time at next table to Doddy on M62 service cafe 2:0am in the morning. Had a real pretty young lady with him.

His timing was brilliant, he was never lost for words, and he could sing too! I have taped tonight's Channel 5 programme, and shall probably keep it for posterity. Dare i say that I preferred him to Sir Bruce?

Implying now`t, simply said that I saw him at a table next to me and my girlfriend early one morning, probably on his way home after a show in Leeds.

Saw Ken Dodd perform at the Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliffe on Sea,many years ago.

From the moment he walked on stage to the point when he finished - many hours later - the whole audience never stopped laughing.

Best live show I ever had the privilege of attending.

And all done without any swear words ..........
