Default Impact wrench, at long last

Over a year of waiting this is finally available to purchase

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-cew1100--electric-impact-wrench/?da=1&TC=EMBIS-060210321

I borrowed the smaller one from my neighbour to undo the driver shaft nuts and thought it struggled, so have been waiting for this one.

Have been able to cross this off of things to purchase

I've got that one, I never use it because it is soooo noisey!

I bought the Einhell one, because the batteries match the rest of my cordless gear. It’s not the most powerful but it’s as good as if not better than my blue point pneumatic one & less hassle to use & it seems quite robust. The Milwaukee ones are the best I’ve used but you can but 3 or 4 Clarke ones for the price & for DIY home use they’re maybe a bit extravagant

I treated myself to the big Milwaukee last year, it has a 1/2 inch drive and will undo up to 1700nm . If you shop around you can get a deal. Mine was about £250 with two batteries and a charger.

I recently helped a friend strip an MX5 with impact gun and after a day undoing bolts that had either not been undone for 25 years or had rusted almost solid I felt like I had been in a fight and lost.

Probably one of the best tools I have ever bought.

I lent it to a Mechanic friend of mine, he was so impressed he bought one the following week.

reason I went for mains powered, lack of use but I admit a battery powered one goes where you go
