To remove the badge you simply drive a screw into it. No more than 1 or 1½ mm. Make sure you screw it in in the middle (EDIT: just below the middle, I can't remember exactly but I believe it was .5 cm below the middle). That's where the screw of the badge holder is and will get you some space to screw it in. Not sure if this makes any sense but there you have it

Correct, it will probably have faded anyway so drill a small hole in the middle of it (slightly towards the top of centre if memory serves me right) and you will go through in to the recessed hole for the head of the screw behind it. Then use an allen key or similar tool to pull the badge out.
